A famed French aperitif liqueur flavored with gentian root, giving a spicy, fruity and delicately bitter drink. In 1885, the vast majority of aperitifs available were wine-based. A distillery owner, Fernand Moureaux, invented an aperitif drink made by distilling gentian roots. A true celebrity among French aperitifs, Suze owes its renown to two key advantages: an aroma of wild gentian distilling a delicately bitter taste and a slender bottle, designed at the end of the 19th century by Henri Porte. For generations, Suze has been recognized for its traditional production Intensive notes of gentian, bitter and citrus zest. The recipe inspired by the original recipe from Suze giving its distinctive flavor and a unique personality.
